This policy explains how the TaskRecess iPhone app handles information, how the TaskRecess pages on this website operate, and what the publisher receives if you voluntarily contact support. TaskRecess requires iOS 18 or later.

TaskRecess stores task titles, hold-up reasons and details, optional next actions, notes, source links, follow-up dates, task history, presets, and app settings locally on the user's iPhone. TaskRecess has no developer account or cloud service, and the publisher does not receive this content.

TaskRecess does not collect:

• Task content, including titles, notes, hold-up details, next actions, links, dates, history, or presets.
• Contact information or identifiers.
• Usage data or diagnostics.
• Location, contacts, messages, or email.
• Clipboard contents or activity in other apps.

The app contains no advertising, analytics, cross-app tracking, third-party runtime SDK, developer account system, or developer-operated network service. The publisher does not sell or share app data, and TaskRecess does not track users across apps or websites.

Optional notifications, widgets, Shortcuts, share-sheet capture, and Live Activities use Apple system features on the device. Lock Screen and widget output is count-only by default. A user may explicitly choose to reveal a selected task title or hold-up detail on system surfaces. Notification delivery and timing are controlled by iOS and are not guaranteed.

A user can explicitly invoke the iOS share sheet to import one text item or web link. TaskRecess shows an editable confirmation interface, and nothing is saved until the user confirms the Park action. The app does not automatically inspect the clipboard or content in other apps.

A user can explicitly export complete data as JSON and, with TaskRecess Pro, task data as CSV. Exported files leave TaskRecess only after the user chooses a destination through Apple's share interface. The destination's privacy practices then apply.

TaskRecess Pro is intended to be a non-consumable in-app purchase processed by Apple. TaskRecess receives verified purchase-entitlement status through StoreKit but does not receive or store payment-card details. Apple's terms and privacy policy govern App Store transactions. Restore Purchases is available in the app.

Local data remains on the device until the user edits or deletes it, uses Delete All TaskRecess Data, or removes the app according to iOS behavior. The app does not set a remote retention period because it does not receive on-device task content.

Delete All TaskRecess Data clears tasks, history, presets, queued captures, generated exports, reminders, widget data and settings, and Live Activities. App Store purchase ownership remains managed by Apple so an eligible purchase can be restored.

Because the publisher does not receive app data, the publisher cannot remotely retrieve or delete a user's on-device task content.

TaskRecess relies on iOS data protection and Apple system frameworks. No method of storage is guaranteed to be perfectly secure. Users should avoid placing information in TaskRecess that they would not store on their device.

TaskRecess is a general productivity application and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal data from children or anyone else.

The TaskRecess website uses no advertising, behavioral analytics, tracking pixels, external fonts, marketing cookies, fingerprinting, support form, chatbot, or third-party widget.

The website is hosted by Vercel. Unavoidable security or access logs may contain request timestamps, requested URLs and query strings, HTTP methods and status codes, hostnames, IP addresses, browser user-agent details, and regional, routing, cache, firewall, request, and security metadata. They are used to operate, secure, and diagnose the website and are retained for up to one day in the hosting account’s standard runtime logs; build and deployment records may be retained separately by the host.

If a user voluntarily emails support, the publisher receives the sender's address and message solely to respond to the request. Support correspondence is retained for only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain appropriate business records, protect the service, and meet legal obligations, then deleted or anonymized unless longer retention is required for a documented legal, security, or business reason.

Website access logs and voluntary support email are separate from data collection by the TaskRecess app. They do not change the App Store Connect app-privacy answer for the audited build: “No, we do not collect data from this app.”

If this policy changes, its effective date and published version will be updated. App Store privacy answers will be kept consistent with the current app version.
